A Video Editor for Therapists Where Sessions Never Leave Your Device

Session recordings for supervision, training or teletherapy review are some of the most sensitive video there is. Plumely edits and captions them entirely in your browser — there's no upload, so client recordings stay on your machine.

Everything runs on your device. Your videos are never uploaded — there's no server to upload to.

Best in Chrome & Edge on desktop.

Client recordings stay local

Plumely processes video with your browser's own engine and WebAssembly. There is no upload endpoint, so a counseling or supervision recording is never sent to — or stored on — a third-party server.

No cloud sub-processor to disclose

Because nothing is uploaded, you're not adding another vendor to your privacy practices or client consent forms for editing. The file exists only on the device you opened it on.

Tools that fit clinical review

  • Trim to the moments you're presenting in supervision
  • Word-level captions for transcripts and accessibility
  • Noise removal and loudness leveling for quiet rooms
  • Reframe to keep the focus on one speaker

Clean export for training decks

Export a clean MP4 with no watermark — suitable for case presentations, peer consultation and training material.

Edit offline

Installed as an app, Plumely works with no connection — so you can prepare a recording on a device that's never online.

FAQ

Are session recordings uploaded?+

No. Editing and export run in your browser on your device — there is no server to upload to. Your network tab will show 0 bytes uploaded.

Is this HIPAA compliant?+

We don't offer a BAA, because Plumely never receives your data — there's no transmission to a covered service. That removes us as a processor entirely, but you should still confirm the workflow against your own practice's policy.

Is there a watermark?+

No — exports are clean MP4 with no branding.

Do I need to sign up?+

No account is required to edit or export.
