About Plumely
Plumely is a CRM built for manufacturing teams — companies, contacts, leads, opportunities, quotes, orders, invoices, and workflow automation — paired with a library of modular, industry-specific compliance tools activated on top of it. We started with, and go deepest on, pharmaceutical and API manufacturing, where the compliance side covers the kind of work enterprise quality-management suites handle, but at a scale and price that only make sense for large organizations.
Why we built it
Manufacturers selling into other businesses need the same core CRM — companies, contacts, a pipeline, quotes that turn into orders and invoices — as any B2B sales team. But small and mid-sized manufacturers and exporters also carry regulatory obligations (supplier qualification, deviation and CAPA tracking, stability studies, export documentation) that a generic CRM has no concept of, and the software built to handle those obligations is usually priced and shaped for enterprise buyers, with long implementation timelines and named-user licensing that punishes exactly the teams who need it most. We built Plumely as one platform instead: a CRM foundation every manufacturer needs, plus individually activatable compliance tools for the industries that need them — pick what your team needs, get an audit-ready workflow for it, and skip the modules you don’t.
What’s in the library today
- Companies, Contacts & Pipeline — Track the companies and contacts you sell to, log leads, and manage opportunities through your pipeline — the CRM foundation every other tool plugs into.
- Products — A unified sellable catalog — SKUs, pricing, and units of measure — that quotes, orders, and invoices draw their line items from.
- Quotes, Orders & Invoices — Build a quote, convert it to an order once accepted, then invoice it — with line items flowing forward at every step so nothing gets re-typed.
- Workflows — Automate the busy work — when a record is created or its status changes, create a follow-up task or notify the record's owner automatically.
- Supplier & CoA Qualification — Verify every incoming batch has an in-spec, non-expired CoA from a qualified supplier before it reaches your line.
- Country Dossier Checklist — Living, country-specific dossier checklists for CTD, ACTD, and Module 1 requirements across emerging markets.
- Export Documentation & Compliance — CoAs, CoPPs, WHO-GMP certificates, and shipping documents — tracked, versioned, and never expired without warning.
- RLD / Orange Book Comparator — Follow reference-listed drugs for label, patent, and exclusivity changes without checking the FDA site by hand.
- Protocol Amendment Impact Checklist — Turn a protocol amendment into an owned, tracked checklist across every affected system and document.
- Deviation & CAPA Tracker — Mobile-first deviation logging and CAPA tracking built for the shop floor, not just the QA office.
- Stability Study Tracker — Pull-point calendars, sample inventory, and overdue-test alerts for every active stability study.
- Clinical Trial Lite Manager — Protocol tracking, enrollment logs, and essential-document checklists sized for a 1-3 study site.
Built audit-ready, not audit-adjacent
Every organization’s data is isolated from every other organization’s, enforced at the database layer, not just in application code. Material actions are recorded to an append-only, hash-chained audit trail, and certain records carry a real electronic-signature step. We try to be honest about the difference between a tool that supports Part 11-style recordkeeping and a guarantee of regulatory compliance — the latter is always a shared responsibility with your own procedures. Read the specifics in our Privacy Policy.
Frequently asked questions
Is our organization's data isolated from other organizations?+
Yes. Every record is scoped to your organization and enforced at the database layer with Postgres row-level security, in addition to the application's own access checks — no other organization on the platform can see your data.
Do you support e-signatures and audit trails?+
Yes. Material actions are written to an append-only, hash-chained audit log, and certain records (like closing out a CAPA) require a password re-authentication step as an electronic-signature mechanic. See our Privacy Policy for the specifics.
Does using Plumely make us Part 11 / GxP compliant?+
Using Plumely supports common practices expected under those frameworks, but compliance is a shared responsibility — your organization is still responsible for validating its own procedures. We'd rather be upfront about that than oversell it.
Can we activate just one tool instead of a whole suite?+
Yes — tools are modular. Activate the ones your team needs; you're not paying for or navigating a bundle you don't use.
